Cute little Nike was brought into the shelter on 8/23, by a finder that had him for 3 weeks. He had been seen roaming in the area for weeks and she coaxed him with food after he was found snoozing on her outdoor couch. She described him as a playful, attention seeking boy. He did well with the finders older children and always wanted to be close to finder and snuggle. In the shelter, he was nervous and distant from handlers in the yard initially, but it didn't take long for him to warm up. He runs over with a soft body when called and allows petting with a wagging tail. Nike is very scared and unsure where he is or what's going to happen to him. He doesn't like being stuck on his kennel and thinks he has to be defensive so the shelter has given him a deadline. Can you help this little dachshund by fostering?
