Sweet & Sassy Senior Neffy Has Been Waiting 2 Years for a Home . It's hard to believe Nefertari ('Neffy') has spent nearly two years at the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter in Amityville, NY. Day after day, she's watched puppies and younger dogs leave with their new families, while she quietly waits, hoping her turn will come. Neffy is a 9-year-old American Staffy Pit Bull Terrier mix with the perfect blend of sweetness and sass. She has a loving, gentle side, but also a playful, confident streak that makes her such a joy to be around. She's housetrained, past the puppy chaos, and just wants a soft bed, a warm home, and a human to love in her golden years. Senior dogs like Neffy are treasures-full of loyalty, wisdom, and gratitude. They don't ask for much, just a chance to live out their days surrounded by kindness instead of kennel walls. Please, if you're in NY (or know someone who is), consider opening your heart to Neffy.
