About Kwesi

Adoption Fee: $200
Newfoundland / Poodle
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Our lovable family mascot Kwesi unfortunately is in need of a new home. His original family is unable to house him anymore. This breaks our heart but we are in search of some loving humans to bring him into your home. He has been fostered by his aunt, then uncle who are also dog parents for the last year to help with his separation anxiety but it's time for a new permanent home. He is a 4 year old 86-pound Newfie-Poo, and is as distinguished as they come. His name means 'Sunday-born boy' in the Ghanaian Twi language, and is associated with leadership. He loves and protects kids and his owners in the same sage manner as Newfies are known to do. If one of his family members appear hurt or in distress he will do his best to notify other family members and comfort them. He's very stoic and mild mannered and his favorite past time is resting his head on your lap for some pets. He enjoys occasional play time but he is not aggressive and will play off the energy you give him. Most times he enjoys a good nap, people watching from the window, massages, and just being in the company of good people. He is leash trained and very well potty trained. He is also trained to eat only when you're ready for him to visit the bowl. He's fully up to date on all vaccines and had his physical in April of this year with the all-clear. We also have his birth info and previous medical records. He is currently trained on the basics and knows the following commands: Sit, Stay, Leave It, Speak, Down, and Paw. The adoption fees go towards the costs associated with his fostering and recent vaccines. We have more pics and videos in a Google Drive folder if you're interested!
