Meet Wendy another orchard dog found alongside her one pup in Bakersfield. Turns out underneath the fleas, ticks, matted hair, and severe skin irritation there is a beautiful, resilient soul of a dog. Her foster of the last few weeks says simply, 'she's the sweetest.' Her pup, Peter got a helping hand through Rocket Dog Rescue. Now it's Wendy's turn through CCHDR. We think she's a 2 year old border collie. She's got low to moderate energy for a border collie, so she'd make a perfect companion for someone who loves the breed but isn't an ultra-runner. She's great with the resident dogs, affectionate with people, housebroken, and an all-around easy keeper. She looks a bit rough at the moment, can't blame her after all she's been through. Her coat needed to be shaved down to remove the matted hair and treat the skin irritation from all the fleas and ticks she was carrying. We know that once her coat grows back, she'll be the most beautiful girl in town. Wendy is located in Bakersfield, CA. She is vaccinated, dewormed, and flea / tick treated. Wendy can go home on a spay contract. More photos and updates: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1524334601861522&type=3 Interested in Wendy?
