Tyson is a sweet, happy, 2+ year old, Australian Sheperd x. He loves to be petted and go on walks. He is still nervous about getting in cars but once in, he rides nicely. He has led a difficult life surviving abandonment with a pack of 9 other dogs in the country to finally be helped by a kind man who fed them when he could. When Tyson's eyes got infected, the man brought him to a mobile clinic where his foster mom took him in and nursed him back to health. The scars around his eyes are the only visible signs of his past. Tyson is now crate, leash, and house-trained ready for a family of his own. He is fixed, vaccinated, and de-wormed. Tyson is defensive around other male dogs and not good with small animals like cats. He has a lower energy level but loves to play with his best friend Maizie (also listed on Petfinder). His smaller size (around 40 pounds) makes him good for apartments or less mobile owners. If he sounds like a good fit for you or someone you know, please direct your questions to Susan Mayne at [email protected] Tyson is being fostered near Gallup NM and transport can be arranged to other states.
