Piper is a charming 5-year-old beagle, weighing in at a petite 24 pounds. He has been neutered and has tested negative for both heartworm and Lyme disease, ensuring he is in good health. Piper arrived at our shelter as a stray, so we unfortunately don't know much about his past life. Unlike many beagles who thrive on human interaction, Piper seems to prefer a more relaxed approach to companionship. He isn't particularly fond of being petted, but he truly enjoys spending time outdoors, soaking up the sun and enjoying the fresh air. His calm demeanor makes him a delight to be around, and he has shown a friendly disposition toward the other dogs in the shelter. Piper walks incredibly well on a leash, showcasing his gentle nature. Since his arrival, he has been a calm and composed gentleman, exhibiting patience and a willingness to learn. Although he is not overly social, there's a sense that he craves connection and friendship. He's observing and adapting, gradually recognizing the rhythm of life at the shelter. With a little patience, love, and attention, Piper has the potential to become an incredible companion. Please note that we are not a no-kill shelter, and we must make tough decisions regarding animals who are ill or aggressive. **Adoption Fees: ** - $165 for dogs under 5 years old - $100 for dogs over 5 years old - $200 for cell dogs. Your adoption fee covers vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella), microchipping, heartworm and Lyme testing, rabies vaccination, spay/neuter, and a dog license. All dogs must be spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter; if this hasn't been done, we'll schedule an appointment for you. **Payment: ** We accept cash only-no checks, debit, or credit cards, please.
