About Harper

Harper is an extremely loyal, beautiful, and dog-friendly, one-year-old, 40-pound, female husky/shepherd-mix looking for a loving guardian. Harper loves to play with other dogs, but gets spooked by fast movements, and loud noises. She falls into a routine when introduced to a new situation and absolutely loves other dogs and follows their lead. She tends to prefer women to men, but can eventually warm up to men when given ample time and patience. Harper is good in the car, housebroken, crate-trained, and good on leash. She prefers a yard to do her business. Before she went to her current foster home she had never been on leashed walks before! Harper loves to run and play in the yard with other dogs and doesn't mind getting wet. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. Her human dropped her, her mom dog, and canine siblings off at Chicago Animal Care and Control when he had health issues, so she is accustomed to living with other dogs. Her adoption fee of $200 helps cover her vet bills and benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue.
