He weighs 47 lbs and has the classic Shepherd personality, just in a smaller package. Name: Tami Age: About 3 Years Gender: Male (Altered) Weight: 47 lbs Breed: Shepherd Mix Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Working on it - doing well in the shelter setting Crate Trained: probably Leash Manners: Listens to correction, lays down when told - eager to learn Good with Dogs: Yes - has been great with every dog he's met Good with Cats: Not tested, but can be Good with Kids: Yes - gentle and respectful Tami came into the shelter in June 2024 in very poor condition. We believe he was confined in a crate that was far too small for him, leading to a permanent bend in his back legs. Over time, his legs have improved, and while he still walks with a noticeable bend, he is in no pain and moves around comfortably. It gives him a distinctive 'short shepherd' look, but it doesn't slow him down. Tami has done well with every dog he's met and shows great social skills. He's also gentle with children and responds well to direction. When corrected on leash for pulling, he will lie down - a sign of his desire to listen and please. Tami has been waiting far too long for a chance at a better life. He can be scheduled to arrive in Cedarburg, WI on Saturday, September 6th, but he needs a committed adopter or foster to reserve his seat on the transport. Transport from Georgia is included. Available for foster or adoption in Cedarburg and surrounding areas. Apply today to foster or adopt Tami and give him the fresh start he deserves. __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer, vaccinations, and heart worm prevention (age appropriate). __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.)
