My life hasn't been the easiest. A few years ago, I lost my dad, and ever since then, my sweet caretaker Mary has done her best to look after me. She loves me very much, but she's in her 70s and struggles to keep up with all that I need. That's why I'm here-I'm ready to find the forever home my dad would have wanted for me. I'm the kind of dog who loves both worlds: I'll tug and chase a soccer ball like a champ, but I'll also happily flop down next to you for a good nap and some cuddles. I'm curious about the world, always watching my neighbors from the yard, and I'm loyal to the core. Nothing makes me happier than being with my people. ��%90%BE My Best Traits: Loyal, affectionate, and loves to be right by your side. Energetic for playtime but perfectly happy to be lazy when you're ready to relax. Smart, curious, and always interested in what's going on around me. Crate trained, house-broken, and walks nicely on a leash with either a flat or prong collar. ��%90%BE Things I'm Still Working On: I get a little too excited when company comes and sometimes jump or bark. I may try to sneak a tasty snack off the counter if no one's looking. I hate nail trims (I mean really hate them), and the vet has to sedate me for that. I have epilepsy, but it's fully managed with medication as long as I stay on schedule. I haven't been to doggy daycare or lived with kids full-time, but I've met kids on walks and done well. I've also done fine around family gatherings of about 10 people, though a big party would be something new for me. �Ϭ My Perfect Day? Breakfast with you, a nice walk, some tug-of-war or soccer in the yard, then a long nap to recharge. Later, dinner and an evening full of pets, cuddles, and knowing I'm safe and loved. I know I'm not perfect-but who is? With the right family, I'll be the most loyal, loving companion you could ask for.
