About 'MISS FLOOFY'

Courtesy Posting: X URGENT at PHOENIX, AZ- ID #A5149698 - MARICOPA COUNTY ANIMAL CARE (WEST VALLEY) - ADORABLE, FRIENDLY 2 yr, 47 lb FEMALE CHOW X (possibly with some shepherd due to markings) 'MISS FLOOFY'- ADOPTABLE, BUT MAY NEED RESCUE AND THUS ALSO A FOSTER TO SAVE HER LIFE! SHELTER IS FULL and puts many chows on their euth list suddenly. Please help us find a good home or foster and rescue for this adorable, little young girl who was found as stray and her owner sadly never showed. The shelter has named her Miss Floofy with her beautiful fluffy tail, and estimates she is approximately 2 years old. We had a volunteer visit with her in the playyard where she loved being pet, took treats gently, and also walked calmy by other dogs as can be seen in videos we have and will post on facebook. We understand she also met a family passing by and instantly was leaning in to be pet, even giving her paw and even kisses. Miss Floofy was said to be found with another dog who is a male pitbull, but it is unclear if the dogs came from the same home or just met each other as strays. That dog has not yet been assessed but is ID #A5149696. At only 47 lbs, Miss Floofy is the perfect size. She is now adoptable, but likely is on borrowed time. The shelter notes state she is, 'Stoic on approach at front of kennel, started to have wagging tail and soft body when handler kneeled down and coaxed dog over. Took treats gently, stayed soft bodied as handler presented leash. Easy leash placement at front of kennel, easy leash pull to m&g room. Shows interest in dogs in passing by sniffing with wagging tail, easy to direct away. In room dog followed handler to chair and solicited attentions allowing petting all over with soft body, wagging tail. Knows 'SIT'. Wiggly and solicited attentions entire time in room with handler. Walked with easy leash pull back to kennel, solicited attentions with staff member in passing with wagging tail. Sniffed passing dogs with wagging tail. Able to direct into kennel with no issues. Allowed handler to reach through long hair to retrieve leash by hand with no issues.'
