Hello, about 2 years ago my wife was standing outside sportsman's warehouse in Salem and a Pitbull ran up to her bleeding from the head and clearly in distress, he weighed about 40Lbs. at the time. Being the person she is she immediately put him in the car and took him to the vet. He had severe trauma and infection to his left ear that required amputation. So long story short we had the surgery done and during that time we were in touch with Born-again Pit-Bull Rescue, and they were helping with a small percentage of the bills that were starting to accumulate. Working with the rescue they told us they would help us to find him a new home, and they did not do that. They took pictures of him and put them on their website to gain donations, after a few months of back and forth, we were told we are on our own to find him a home. We have reached out to several places that flat out want nothing to do with it or they recommend other shelters and at this point we cannot keep him, but want what is best for him, he has had a rough life until he met us and we would like that to continue. He has a very gentle temperment and just wants to be loved, hes great with kids and other pets.
