Though he is quite big, he's very much still a puppy, and is still learning. He does not have accidents in the house, has learned to stay out of the garbage can, is doing extremely well with his leash training, knows the basic commands like sit, lay down, wait, stay etc. and has been working the last couple of weeks on distraction training, which seems to be going pretty good. While Ludo would do well, we think, in a house with another dog-friendly dog, he may do better in a house without cats. He's making good strides in learning to leave our cat alone, but it has been a long and arduous road that is definitely not over. While we truly do not want to adopt him out, at this point, and would love for him to stay a part of our family forever, he is an energetic dog who needs more time than we have to give right now. He has been learning to go on runs (though with the heat we've had to keep them extremely short) and he would make an excellent hiking dog. He's a very good boy, who just needs a family who isn't so busy on nights and weekends.
