Masha born on 2/20/2021 and came to our home at 7 wks old from a breeder in La Pine. She came into a household with 2 cats and my daughter who was 6 at the time. As a puppy she was feisty with a sweet disposition. She attended puppy school and is trained in German commands, as well as some English, we attempted to socialize her as best as we could, but it has been a challenge as we live in a rural country side. Then at 8 months old we sent her to an expert trainer in Bend OR for 2 weeks through the 'off leash training program', that provided a training shock collar for her reactivity. After the training she was sharp on commands and taught to ignore distractions, but she seems to do better off leash witch can be a challenge in social settings due to leash laws etc. Masha was spayed at the age of 1 1/2 yrs old, she went through a training regression, which caused her to become more aggressive and reactive with people in general. So we decided to keep her out of the city and train her at home. She is a very sweet and protective dog with her immediate family. With proper introduction she can be social with other dogs and adults. She is very play and ball oriented, loves to hike and chew sticks and is crate trained. In spite of my efforts to acclimate her to children, I have not been successful. I notice that Masha prefers a male handler. It breaks my hear to have to re-home her but she recently broke loose from her leash as children where playing, and bit a child. Fortunately the child was not gravely injured, as I reacted quickly to correct her. This has become a dangerous situation for our family and do not wish for her to be put down, we love her very much. I'm confident that with the proper male handler, she can thrive and be a great companion.
