About Marley

Meet Marley! Marley is a 5-year-old, 40-pound bundle of love with short legs, a sturdy body, and a charming wire-haired coat that sheds very little. He's often compared to an oversized Australian Terrier, but his temperament and size are much more like a Glen of Imaal Terrier-laid-back, loyal, and low-maintenance. Marley thrives either as an only dog or with a couple of calm, small canine companions. He's less comfortable around large dogs or energetic puppies, often barking at them. His heart belongs to his human-he's sweet, affectionate, and eager to please. Marley is fully potty trained and enjoys going for walks, though he still needs some leash work-especially when squirrels are involved! A secure, fenced backyard and a calm, child-free home would be ideal for him. This guy is a true cuddle bug who loves to sleep in bed with you and will happily lounge by your side. He doesn't require a ton of exercise and prefers a peaceful routine. While we're working with him to curb his habit of jumping up when excited, he's made great progress in foster care and has shown none of the behavioral issues that occurred in his previous home. Marley doesn't like being left alone for long periods, so he's best suited for someone who is home often-perhaps an early retiree or work-from-home adopter. However, due to his size and strength, he may not be the best fit for someone who is physically frail. He can't jump very high and may need a little help getting into the car-but once he's in, he absolutely loves car rides! Marley is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
