About Feeny

Five year old-Feeney is a charming little pup with a big heart and a lot of love to give. He came into our care after his previous owner remarried, and sadly, Feeney wasn't able to bond with the new spouse. While we believe this fear may have been specific to that individual, potential adopters should be aware that Feeney may be initially cautious-especially around men. That said, he was very attached to the family's 9-year-old son, so we know he can form strong bonds with the right people. Feeney is great with cats and other dogs, though he can be a little jealous when it comes to sharing his foster mom's affection. He just loves being the center of attention! This sweet boy is crate-trained and actually enjoys his crate-he'll go in on his own when he needs a nap or some quiet time. He's also fully housebroken and will run to the back door when he needs to go out. In a fenced yard, he's happy to explore off-leash, but outside of that, he should be kept on a leash for his safety. Feeney does require regular grooming and clipping, so his future family should be prepared to provide consistent coat care to keep him looking and feeling his best. Feeney would thrive in a loving home where he feels secure, gets plenty of attention, and can continue to grow his confidence. Could that be with you?
