About Josie

Josie is a 1.5 year old, 50 pound Border Collie. She was found along with her puppy Jacqui running around the orchards of Bakersfield, looking for food where there is none. They were fortunate to come to the attention of some individuals with connections to rescues, and now both mom and pup have found their way here. Josie is amazing. Stoic and loyal. She has a thin coat and is malnourished right now, but we'll get that taken care of. She is housebroken, so at some point was someone's pet. Next up for Josie is a spay so that the cycle of puppies stops. We're hoping to give both Josie and Jacquie a bit of time to recover for these last weeks and then they'll be ready for their forever homes.
