About Ali

Ali came to us at 4 years old after a life of mostly sitting in a crate alone at home. She was given very little socialization of any kind for most of her youth and as such as suffered from very unpredictable anxiety-based behaviors with our other animals. I think Ali will do best in a home where she can be the only cat, possibly the only pet. She does not like other cats of any age (does ok with our 50lb poodle) and has been attacking other kitties at meal/litter time, which is clearly causing her and the other kitties stress. I hope to see Ali go to a home where she can be admired and loved for her pretty looks, but left untouched/unprovoked as often as possible with lots of toys and windows for enrichment. Ali CAN be a very sweet, playful, and even cuddly cat, seemingly out of nowhere, then she will lash out suddenly, without warning. Vets and behavioral specialists have said they don't think she is a danger or at risk of behavioral euthanasia, but I fear her off-putting temperament will make it difficult to find her the perfect home. I love her with all my heart but I want her to be in a home that brings HER happiness, and she is telling me this is not the one for her. Located in Bellingham, WA.
