About CRUZ

Cruz came to us from Yuma after he was found tied to a pole and no owner came looking for him. He can initially appear a little defensive (will bark/growl) at strangers but has never tried to bit and warms up within minutes. He is a really sweet and loving boy who would bring so much light to any family. He loves playing in water and would really enjoy having his own yard. He does also have some resource guarding around food (likely due to having to scrounge on the street) but does well with being fed in a crate which is very easy! As a result of this we would recommend a home with no children or older children Cruz is estimated around 4 years old and is 7-8 lbs. He is very happy go lucky and seems to be mostly housebroken with regular opportunities to get out. He also walks on a leash though does not mind being carried either. Cruz will come neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. He might prefer a home without alot of traffic in and out and with another female dog his size as he seems to not be a fan of big dogs.
