I was saved once. One of 6 who was taken in over time by a kind woman with good intentions . I was starving, covered in ringworm, and alone on the street. No one wanted to touch me, and I wasn't allowed in the shelter because I was contagious. But she wanted to help me. Me and six other dogs were rescued from being put down. It should have been the start of something better�'�| but the person who saved us had to work two jobs. She meant well - I know she did. But we stayed in crates. Day in, day out. No walks. No toys. No adventures. Just waiting. Always waiting. I thought maybe, just maybe, someday, it would be my turn. But now she's moving. And she says she can't take us. Not me. Not the others. And this time�'�| if no one steps up�'�| we're going to the shelter. My deadline is August 1. And I don't know what happens after that. I'm five years old - a lab mix with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and spayed. I love kids. I'm smart - I learn fast, especially when you tell me I'm a good girl. And I only bark when it matters. I've got some scars on my ears, but I don't let that slow me down. I don't play with toys much, but I'll chase squirrels like it's my full-time job (which is how I sometimes end up on the other side of the fence�'�| sorry!).
