About Kota

A 'breeder' of miniature schnauzers became ill and asked a friend to help find homes for all her dogs. The dogs were in terrible shape when they first arrived, many were matted and required dental cleanings. Kota was in the worse shape of them all. After being groomed, we saw that Kota had several lumps on the top of his head. Surgical removal found that they were sebaceous cysts that the vet believes were the result of all the badly matted fur the poor little guy had on the top of his head. The vet said he could see hairs that were ingrown into the cysts. Poor Kota also required a dental cleaning at the time of his neuter and is now also up to date on his shots. Kota is still abit shy but really coming out of his shell. He enjoys running in the yard with his foster's other dogs and being held in your lap. You can see how happy he has become! Little Kota is about 2 years old and just 9 pounds. Please help Kota find the loving home he deserves. ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
