Elbert Animal Control (706 283 5054) in Elberton, GA, has 2 deserving bluetick hounds needing Rescue or Adoption. They are a small facility and space has become an issue. There is never a fee for a Rescue to pull, and adoption fees are waived this month for adopters. Both dogs were strays, picked up within a mile of each other. Neither is spayed/neutered. Both dogs, while considered seniors, can run and explore with the best of them. The female had a slight limp that responded to a joint supplement and does have a small lump on her back that does not seem to bother her. Neither dog has shown any behavioral issues like resource guarding or aggression. Both dogs are friendly; Sophia is quiet, calm, sweet and not terribly vocal. Woof is more engaged and more vocal. Intakes are wormed, get parvo/distemper and Bordetella. Blueticks make such great companions. Please consider Sophia or Woof if you agree with me.
