Diesel was a rescue from a young man who abused him at 10 weeks old. We could not standby and watch this so we took him in. He likes men now and is very gentile. While he is good around kids, small children are likely to get knocked over as Great Danes are clumsy and tend to trip over their own paws. Diesel is about 100 Lbs and 6 months old, going on 7. He's still growing. He loves to run in the backyard playing. He responds to a few commands like 'Sit', 'Come', and 'Treat'. He is potty trained and has not pottied in the house for 3+ months. He goes to the dog park and mingles with the other dogs (all of which are smaller of course) and he becomes submissive to a few of the dogs there. I am looking for him to have a family that can provide him the best care and love he needs. I'd keep him but he's too much dog at my age. What he isn't: He isn't an older dog who knows how to take life nice and slow, he's a puppy and he will do the typical puppy things. he's just a very large puppy. He took a PB&J sandwich off the counter yesterday when my wife turned her back for a second. He enjoyed it. We are not asking for money to adopt him, we only care that he goes to a good family, and I would prefer a family that isn't too old. If you have no idea how to take care of a large breed dog, read up on it. You do not want to be surprised. And I know he will make a great dog for a good family. The adoption fee will go to the RescueMe.org and if you want to give more, I'm certain they would appreciate it.
