About Charlie

Charlie is a 3-year-old, 16-pound Bichon who's looking for a forever home where he can truly shine as someone's one-and-only. He's the definition of a companion dog - loyal, affectionate, and always wanting to be right by your side. If you're home most of the time and dream of a devoted, snuggly buddy, Charlie might just be your perfect match. Charlie is playful and active, and while he enjoys romping around with other dogs, he prefers to have his home (and lap!) all to himself. He can get a little possessive when it comes to sharing his favorite human, so he'd do best as the only dog in the household. That said, he'd still love playdates or spending time in a doggy daycare group for social time. This clever guy has a real talent for finding high perches - don't be surprised to find him lounging on the back of the couch, an end table, or even his kennel. He's also incredibly snuggly and wants to be close to his person at all times, including at bedtime. Charlie is house trained, walks well on a leash, and is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested, and microchipped. He enjoys time outside, especially if you're with him, and is used to a fenced yard. He could also thrive in a home without a fenced yard if he gets regular walks and outdoor time with his person. As a Bichon, Charlie will need regular grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep his curly coat healthy and mat-free.
