About Zero

Looking to rehome this sweet boy, Zero. He is a 3 year old Cocker Spaniel mix. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and healthy. He walks really well on a leash, does not pull. He is potty trained, knows how to sit, and will patiently let you bathe him. He loves playing tug with rope toys, and squeaky/crinkle toys. I adopted him a few months ago, looking for an emotional support animal for my teen daughter that is mentally struggling. I was told that Zero is shy. However, he has a few anxiety driven issues that I just do not have the capacity to deal with along with my daughter right now. He is fine being left alone in a room, but cries/barks when you leave him through the front door. He cannot be left home alone. Some days he will watch a dog walk by without issue, and some days he lunges/barks aggressively. He will bark at new people, but will warm up after some time/treats. I currently have him on Fluoxetine and Trazadone. He has been on these medications for a month, and his anxiety still takes over. He is a VERY sweet dog, and he is shy. But he deserves a family that has the mental capacity and patience to help him work through this. On a side note, which is strange, he does not care one bit about fireworks or loud noises/thunder. BIG plus there. Rehoming fee is $300, half of what I initially adopted him for. For an additional fee ($200), I can include ALL of the accessories I have accumulated for him. This includes: Food and water bowls, locking food storage bin with scoop, pill pockets, training treats, dental treats, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, multiple sized leashes and harness, kong toys, edible chews, poop bags and dispenser, canned food lids, crate and bed (he loves these), many toys and puzzles, and a thundershirt with pherimone spray.
