He is a 5-year-old Australian Shepherd in Durham, NC and weighs 45 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Pinto is nervous around strangers! He hasn't been tested around older children. He is good with cats! No young children, due to his reactivity! He is good with the other dogs inside of the home but is nervous around dogs outside of the home. Pinto bit the owner's young daughter on her face on 7/17 while she was playing with a toy that belonged to her daughter. Pinto is given 40mg of fluoxetine daily for his anxiety. The owner is surrendering him because he bit their young daughter's face. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Pinto, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Pinto.
