URGENT - TOBY IS LOSING WEIGHT FROM STRESS / LIVING IN A KENNEL AT BOARDING Toby is fading in boarding, and he needs out immediately. This sweet senior German Shepherd, estimated to be around 10 to 11 years old, has been living in a kennel since December 2024. His owner is doing everything she can to get back on her feet, but in the meantime, Toby is struggling. The stress of kennel life is taking a toll, and he's losing weight rapidly. It's heartbreaking to see. We recently took Toby out for a short break, and the change in him was instant. He lit up with joy, loving the car ride, the fresh air, and simply being around people again. He craves safety, comfort, and companionship. Toby is incredibly affectionate and gentle. He loves pets and attention, enjoys calm walks, hikes, playing in water, and going on car rides. He's smart, polite, knows 'sit' and 'shake,' and takes treats gently. He's also non-reactive to bikes, joggers, and other dogs. However, Toby cannot live with cats or small dogs. Right now, he's skin and bones. His spirit is still there, but we fear we're running out of time before it breaks completely. He desperately needs a quiet, loving place to rest and decompress - even a short-term foster could make all the difference. If you can open your home to Toby, even temporarily, please consider stepping in. Apply to foster at www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/FPP/Dog or call/text 602-695-6232. Toby is located in Phoenix, AZ. Please don't let this sweet boy waste away in a kennel. He deserves a second chance at health, love, and happiness.
