URGENT!!!! Now scheduled to be euthanized on 8/12 for severe kennel stress!!! Reason for Euthanasia: Behavioral decline & behavior concerns in the shelter, including kennel reactivity, lunging, barking, can be confrontational with other dogs and may benefit from being the only dog in the home Rico is a beautiful Doberman Pincher that was surrendered to the shelter a few days ago and will be euthanized soon. This animal has been at the shelter since 07/24/2025 and on this list since 07/26/2025. Urgent Listing Reason: Rico was surrendered 2 days ago. He has been displaying FAS (fear, anxiety and stress) signs within his kennel in the form of freezing and stiffening up when approached. New handlers should take their time with Rico as he may be fearful, nervous with new people. Although his previous owner stated that he may be aggressive with other dogs they also noted that he was taken to the dog park. We are not yet sure how Rico interacts with other dogs within the shelter. We are unable to supply Rico with the resources he needs and keeping him in shelter is inhumane. Rico should be adopted or rescued as soon as possible.
