About Shira sweet senior

Please share SHIRA (#A2210901), who was surrendered to the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA, because a family member became allergic to her. SHIRA is 11-years-old, and she lived with the family for 11 years. The Dog Interview that was filled out by SHIRA's owner describes her as gentle, affectionate and loving; she loves her ball; and she's very housebroken. Yet, despite SHIRA's attributes and obvious loyalty to her 'family,' she was abandoned in a scary shelter to spend time in a cement cage, unsure of what she did wrong to deserve this punishment. Oh, yeah, she caused her owner to have allergies. SHIRA is a doll! Other volunteers provided this description of SHIRA: 'Heartbreaker supreme! Such a gentle, sweet lady, So easy on leash. Added her to yard of energetic kids, and she handled herself well. Appropriate corrections for space, some mild anxiety, but just a love. Needs a soft landing. Gentle, gentle, gentle.'
