Owner Died * weighs 50 pounds * heartworm negative * came in as a surrender after his owner passed away * dog friendly - per family member * kid friendly - per family member * house and crate trained- he's an indoor dog * smart, knows the sit command * easy to leash/good leash manners * quiet and calm in and out of kennel * welcomes gentle pets Apache arrived the day I took his picture. His owner recently passed away. He is confused as to why he's here and what is going on in his life. Apache is a little shy and unsure of his surroundings and rightly so. It is loud and noisy here with dogs barking and strangers walking by. I know he is confused and sad as he is surely missing his home and his person. He is trying to make the best of his stay while he is here. He is hoping to go to a new home quickly. The shelter can be a scary place and Apache has lost the only owner he has ever known. He will benefit from a kind and understanding adopter who will be patient as he grieves the loss of his person. Apache has a lot of love to give and was a pampered and loved family member. Please don't let him down. He needs you to give him a chance at happiness and love once again. Transport help may be available.
