About Rex

FREE ADOPTIONS THROUGH AUG 8! Hello Rex. He's a neutered, almost 2 year old Labrador Retriever mix. He weighs 42 pounds and is heartworm negative. He was adopted from us over a year ago. Sadly he is back as the child developed allergies. The previous owners noted that Rex is good with children and other dogs. He is housebroken and crate trained. He knows sit. Rex likes walks and playing fetch. Rex stands at the front of his kennel, watching for visitors. He's ready to say goodbye to the shelter. He wants to get back to having a home and a family. Rex says, 'it's loud here and I'm confused about why I'm back here and where my family is'. Rex is easy to leash. He is a gentle treat taker and a very curious guy. He is 'in tune' with his surroundings. Rex lights up when other dogs are around. He goes into his 'let's play' stance. Meet and greets are always encouraged. Rex welcomes gentle touch and affection, once he has time to get to know you. He wants to be loved. He just needs extra time and patience so he can trust you.
