Hi, I'm Millie - and if you're reading this, I hope it means my forever family is just around the corner. ���� I'm a sweet, gentle girl who's had a pretty tough go of things. Until recently, I wasn't getting the food, love, or care every dog deserves. I came from a home where meals were inconsistent, vet visits didn't happen, and I was often left alone for long periods. It's okay - I'm safe now. But I'm still learning that food will always be there, that people can be kind, and that love isn't something you have to beg for. Since being rescued, I've shown just how big my heart really is. I love people - cuddling is kind of my superpower. I'm kid-friendly, affectionate, and sweet as pie. If I could design my perfect day, it would be full of belly rubs, long naps near my humans, and a squeaky toy or two. I'm still working through some food-related anxiety - I get a little hyper at mealtime because I'm so scared it'll be my last. But each day gets a little better. I just need a patient family who understands that healing takes time and love. I've done well with people in the house, and I even enjoy hanging out with the kids. I'm crate-trained (though I prefer a gated room), and I sleep peacefully in the kitchen or with one of the kids at night. I haven't been walked on a leash much yet, but I'm eager to learn. I'd probably do best as your one-and-only or with someone who understands how to safely introduce big dogs. I haven't had a ton of experience with other dogs, and I'm still figuring out what to do when they're around. I may have had a rough start, but I promise - I'm ready to be your loyal, loving companion for life.
