Update: Manny is now scheduled to be euthanized on 8/28 & must be saved by 8/27!!!! URGENT LISTED DOG WITH HIGH KENNEL STRESS IN NEED OF ADOPTION, LOCATED AT S.L.A./CHESTERFIELD SQUARE SHELTER!!! MANNY, A2179167, NEUTERED MALE, BLACK LAB/ SHEPHERD, Age: 8 MONTHS, 61.00 lbs. This animal has been at the shelter since 07/13/2025 and on this list since 07/26/2025. Urgent Listing Reason: Manny was previously adopted 5 months ago as a puppy. Manny was returned to the shelter as a possible owner 13 days ago. Manny is displaying high FAS (fear anxiety stress) within his kennel in the form of rapid barking, pacing, raised hackles and hunched body. Manny can be wary of handlers but seems to be tolerant of other dogs. We are unable to supply Manny with the resources he needs and keeping him in shelter is inhumane. Manny should be adopted as soon as possible!!
