Meet Bennett! Before you start, he already heard you break that treat in half, so don't try to trick him. He's a smart little guy and cannot WAIT to find his forever home. Jump on this quickly, because, well, look at him - he obviously has lots of admirers! Bennett was found as a stray with his brother and sister - I know. We can't believe it either! Bennett hasn't let that bring him down. He knows his family is out there somewhere and he'll be right here waiting when they find him. He is happy, social, playful and smart. He is a little more independent than his siblings but otherwise just wants a home like they all deserve. He's not SO independent that he wouldn't love a dog friend to keep him company, too. He's small (in size, not heart), and would probably do best in a home without small, excitable children for now. Bennett knows he's a handsome guy, and he will need regular grooming to keep him from getting matted and not looking and feeling his best. Bennett is around four months old, and our best guess is he's a terrier/shih tzu mix. He is still growing, but will likely stay the perfect lap dog size (no guarantees!, but we estimate he will not be over 20 pounds). He is up-to-date on puppy shots, neutered and heartworm negative. Bennett is working hard at crate training and house training and is at a perfect age to start leash training so he can go on walks and adventures with his new family. Bennett will need a good fence to keep him safe, a good vet reference on current/recent pets and other references. His adoption fee is $150 which covers previous vet care, vaccinations and neuter surgery as well as his microchip.
