About Henry

Henry is a sweet boy who has had some bad luck. We have searched for his owners with no one to be found and he isn't chipped. His adoption placement fell through because the family didn't understand his needs and what they would need to do to keep him safe. They washed their hands of him and he turned up again at our house. He has had all of his vaccines and has a clean bill of health from the vet. He needs a home where he will be challenged to use those keen tracking skills so his nose doesn't get him into trouble. He will need a kennel or a fenced yard that he cannot climb out of. He is great with other dogs and will give lots of kisses to them and you. He's not spent a lot of time with our cats. He seems curious but will dodge them if they swat at him (one got him on the nose and he's sniffed at a safe distance since). We have not had him off-leash inside with the cats, but he has not lunged at them when he encounters them. Someone decided he was no longer of use to them, but Henry still has a lot of life in him and is ready to be your best companion. Please help us find him a good home. The fee will go to support a local shelter near us.
