About Mimi

Meet Mimi - a striking 6-year-old Seal Point Siamese with a regal presence and a quiet heart. She was found seeking shelter from a cold January rain in 2024, and thanks to a kind stranger, she was brought to safety. Though she was microchipped, her previous shelter had closed, and no further information could be found. But Mimi's story wasn't over...it was just beginning. After living a year with one of our dedicated volunteers in a multi-cat home, it became clear that Mimi truly thrives as a one-and-only cat. She prefers a peaceful environment where she doesn't have to share her space, her toys, or-most importantly-your affection. While she wasn't a fan of living with other cats, we learned that what Mimi really wants is a person (or two) all to herself. Since coming to our shelter, Mimi has been slowly blossoming. She still enjoys a cozy hideaway now and then, but she's begun hopping into laps and seeking out gentle companionship. She appreciates attention-on her terms-and will politely let you know when she's had enough with a classic Siamese-style grumble. She hasn't been aggressive, just expressive. Mimi loves short play sessions followed by long, luxurious naps. She enjoys being talked to, calmly pet, and having her own quiet space where she can observe the world at her own pace. She'll thrive with an experienced cat owner who understands boundaries and respects her need for a calm, predictable home and can read/respect the signs when she becomes over stimulated. Mimi is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and litter box trained. She's a beautiful, independent spirit looking for someone special who sees her not as a project-but as a queen who deserves a throne of her own.
