About COLBY

COLBY is an adorable 8-month-old, 5.2-pound Maltipoo who was surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him due to health issues. This sweet boy is all about love and snuggles. He thrives on affection, loves to cuddle up with his people, and has a playful spirit that shines when he's running around the yard or romping with his doggy friends. COLBY gets along wonderfully with other small dogs and would be happiest with a canine buddy to keep him company. He's a true social butterfly and loves being part of a pack. We haven't tested him with cats or kids but think he would be fine with older kids familiar with handling small dogs. COLBY is working on his potty training and doing great, but will need an adopter who's patient and willing to keep helping him learn. He knows how to use the doggy door and steps, but crating isn't his thing and he's a clever little guy who can climb right out of a puppy pen! At night, he's happiest snuggled up with his foster family. If you're looking for a loving, playful companion and have another small dog to be his best friend, COLBY might just be your perfect match! COLBY has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, on heartworm prevention, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Please remember to check your spam folder for any communication from our team. We adopt to homes within a 1-6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and some dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally. We do not ship or transport our dogs.
