My name is Daryl, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart in hopes of finding any last chance for my 6-year-old husky, Storm. Storm was involved in a fatal incident last week where she escaped from our yard and attacked two small dogs. One of the dogs died, and the other is in critical condition with extensive injuries. This wasn't the first time she showed dog-aggressive behavior, but it was the most severe. As a result, she will now be labeled a dangerous dog in Orange County. Due to this designation, her history, and the growing safety risk to our neighborhood, we can no longer keep her at home. We've exhausted our options locally-no local shelters or rescues are able to take her, and we're now facing the very real possibility of having to put her down. Storm has never harmed a human and has always been sweet, loving, and obedient at home with family. But her prey drive is extremely high, especially around small animals or other dogs. We understand that placement will be difficult, but we want to do everything we can before making that final decision. My mother is traveling to Oregon tomorrow, and if there is any possibility that Storm could be evaluated, fostered, or safely rehomed through your network, we would be deeply grateful. Otherwise, I'll need to schedule her euthanasia appointment sometime next week - likely within the next 5 days. If you need further details, behavioral history, vet records, or anything else, I'm ready to provide that immediately. I'm not asking to avoid accountability - only to give Storm one last shot at a life she can live safely, even if that means under strict management or in a sanctuary-type setting. Thank you so much for your time and your work with huskies like Storm. I truly appreciate any help, advice, or direction you can offer. Warm regards, Daryl
