URGENT ALERT!!! Donkey is now scheduled to be killed on 9/26 due to space!!! There's nothing wrong with him. They're just killing him because of space!!! Donkey has been in the shelter for a whole 23 days. He is scared and nervous in the loud over crowded shelter so they have decided to end his life. He is 1 yr 7 months old. He has no bite history and is available for public adoption. If you need more information about him and or need information about Transport, give Bonnie a call 818-430-5959. The following is from the shelter: DONKEY, #A2205944 - Husky MIX. Shelter: SOUTH L.A. Age: 1 YEAR 7 MONTHS. I weigh approximately 75.00 lbs. This animal has been at the shelter since 06/26/2025 and on this list since 07/19/2025. Urgent Listing Reason - Urgent alert 7/19/25 Donkey is displaying some behavior concerns while in shelter. Donkey has been in the shelter for 23 days with no adoption or rescue interest. Primarily Donkey seemed a bit nervous and wary with new people but recently he is ok with being handled. Donkey has been selective around other dogs in the past but recently he has become a bit more tolerant around them. Even though he is becoming more tolerant around other dogs he still has to wear a muzzle when interacting with them, he can be a bit stiff around them and may require more social sessions with them. We are unable to supply Donkey with the resources he needs and keeping him in shelter is inhumane. Donkey should be adopted or rescued as soon as possible.
