About 'PUFF DADDY'/FALCOR

Courtesy Posting: CODE RED/EUTH LISTED-AT RIVERSIDE, CA (JURUPA VALLEY)- Riverside County Shelter, So Cal - ID #A1869879 - 'PUFF DADDY' aka 'FALCOR'- AN INCREDIBLY HANDSOME CHOW AT RISK IN HIGH KILL SHELTER WHICH IS FULL - FOUND AS A STRAY IN VERY MATTED CONDITION- Shelter update says, 'Declining in shelter environment. ***DEADLINE- MUST EXIT SHELTER BY TUES 7/29 @ 3pm***' HELP!!! THIS STUNNING BOY CAME OFF HIS STRAY HOLD ON 7/23. HIS OWNER NEVER SHOWED. THIS SHELTER IS OVERFULL and EUTHANIZING YOUNG ADOPTABLE DOGS, AND THIS ADOPTABLE BOY WAS PLACED ON THE EUTHANASIA LIST WITH A DEADLINE AS NOTED ABOVE. WE ARE THEREFORE DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR A GOOD HOME, OR FOSTER AND RESCUE TO SAVE HIS LIFE. RESCUES NEED FOSTERS TO HELP! Puff Daddy as the shelter originally named him, and then changed his name to Balcor, may have been used to breed given his pedigree looks. The shelter estimates he is 4 years old and weighed 66 lbs originally. The shelter also told us, he 'was severely matted and was sedated for grooming. He did not come in with another dog. Notes state dog is kenneled alone. No interest in interacting with handler.' A shelter volunteer then took him out in the yard and said, 'we didn't do a dog test, just because he's pretty iffy with people. But we put him up against kennels with dogs barking in his face and no issues! We put him in front of a bunch of crazy littles who were barking in his face. No growling or lunging! No snapping!' Even though he did not exhibit negative issues towards dogs, and was being a typical chow in a shelter with people, the shelter sadly added him to the euthanasia list the very next day, alleging he was declining in the shelter.
