About Scooby

Don't let that white on his face fool you -- Scooby is only about 5 years young. And just look at that smile! Scooby and another dog were abandoned not once but twice yet he is still a happy and sweet boy. His first owners sold the house and moved off and just left them behind but luckily the people who bought the house said they would keep them. Now they are getting a divorce and they simply moved off and left them in the yard to fend for themselves. Scooby is a great hugger - he will hug you and loves to get hugs too! He is also very treat motivated and smart - he knows how to do a sit and give paw. His energy level can be described as medium/low and he walks well on a leash. Scooby also rides well in a car. This gentle soul is good with people, kids and other dogs too. We do not know what he thinks of cats. Scooby is about 5 years old and 68 pounds. Please help Scooby find the loving family he deserves. Update: Scooby tested positive for 2 common tick borne diseases - Lyme & Erhlicchia. He has just about completed his antibiotic treatment and is doing great. Scooby is currently available for adoption. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
