About Licorice

Licorice is 3 year old black and tan 120lb fixed male. He is Alaskan malamute mixed with German shepherd. Licorice is a deep feeler, very loving, affectionate, and playful. He is very handsome and was the pick of the litter when he was born. He loves his humans and bonds with them. He loves to get in the car/truck and go places. He enjoys new trails and spending time together. Perfect for an outdoor enthusiast, Licorice is trained to pull a dog sled and cart and knows many voice commands. You do not need to be athletic to exercise him though as I currently run him and his mom Nike, with my four wheeler. They run in perfect formation and respond to voice commands (left, right, stop etc). Licorice loves to run so he needs to be exercised daily. He is really beautiful to watch run. Once he gets exercised he likes to chill out afterwards. He also likes to play fetch with a ball and tag. He has a great sense of humor and is silly and playful. He's also a deep feeler and very loving emotional support dog. I'd like to keep Licorice and his mom Nike together as they are very bonded. I would consider separating for a special circumstance only. Licorice is currently an outside dog with a garage and cozy shed. He is good with kids and is able to understand that a cat is part of the family. However he has a high prey instinct so I would not put him with rabbits or chickens. Would not put with dogs other than his mom Nike. Needs to be in a good fence or dog lead as he will roam otherwise. He could be taught to stay by the house though. Looking for a true dog lover who understands Northern breed dogs needs and will enjoy the lifestyle they bring. Not for a beginner or someone wanting to try him out. I can transport to you if needed.
