Eleanor is the prettiest basset girl. I've had her since a pup, she requires more and more care and attention than I have to give her, as I'm going thru a divorce and housing change from the country to an yard that is not fenced. Bassett hounds can be stubborn and she hates the leash, but she gets frisky sometimes and wants to roam. It used to not be a problem, but now it is. She is having some stool issues and has two large fatty bumps on her rump. She doesn't like them being messed with but they haven't changed or grown since they appeared. She loves being bathed which is good, because she needs cleaned constantly. Her odor can be foul, which also prevents her being loved on like she deserves. Since becoming a fully inside dog, she smells better but her owner probably needs to have a lot of spare time to clean her eyes and ears daily plus paws? Wipe her after she potty's, etc'|. She is high maintenance. I've been able to adapt in the past and make it work but I've been cut off financially and cannot afford the care she needs any longer. I'd rather her go to a basset loving home with owners who are more experienced than me. She deserves pampering she has so much love to give when she gets the care she requires.
