PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 3-year-old male miniature poodle about 8 pounds. Luca is a very outgoing and friendly guy. He loves all people and dogs. He has a fair amount of energy and takes a bit of play and exercise to wear him out. He seems drawn to the bigger dogs but came into rescue with a smaller dog friend. He does a great job with potty outside and is crate trained. But he is smart enough to know that a little whining MAY get the humans to feel sorry for him! Stand strong, human! He might chase a cat, but that is an unknown. He is decent for grooming and nails. He will need regular grooming as he matts easily. He still needs to learn not to pull on the leash, but that is mostly his excited nature to explore and greet everyone with enthusiasm. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
