PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 6-year-old male Maltese/Chihuahua, about 5 pounds. Hi, I am Simba! My name implies that I am big. However, I am a small little gentleman with a big personality. I am in a house with two other dogs (Shih Tzus) and sometimes four when the family visits with their two mini dachshunds. We chase each other around the yard. Sometimes I join in on the chase. I love my food and am not fussy. I also share my food with everyone. Sometimes, my two Shih Tzu sisters want some of my food and I let them. I love treats. One of my favorite things is to be close to my foster mom. If she is sitting down, I want to be on her lap. If she gets up, I follow her. She may decide to give treats, and I want to be there for that. I am mostly potty trained but sometimes I have accidents if I cannot get access to the outside. I walk well on a leash and am always friendly with other dogs. We have lots of visitors to the house: men and women and even a few children. I always let them know I am here, and I see them. My foster mom tells me, 'enough.' Then I usually give one more bark to say ok. Though my bark sounds big and ferocious, I never nip or try to bite. I like to give permission to pick me up. So, if you bend down, I may back up until I think it is ok. I am working on the stairs, but right now, I cannot seem to get them. My foster mom carries me up and down the stairs. One of my Shih Tzu stepsisters does stairs, but one does not, so I am in good company. My foster mom calls me a Velcro dog. I do like to be close to her wherever she is and whatever she is doing. So, I would like someone who is either retired or works from home so I can keep them company. My foster mom says I am a sweetheart!
