About Valentine

Hi, Im Valentine! Im a 3 year old German Shepherd mix and was found as a stray then rescued from a shelter in Oakland, CA. Ive lived in a loving home in the SF Bay Area for over 2 years. My humans are having a baby so are trying to find me another home because Ive tried to herd small kids before and can be generally anxious. I am a silly, smart, loyal, and deeply loving boy who enjoys playing fetch, running/hiking, or just snoozing around the house. I am eager to please and very treat motivated so I will learn new tricks with you! I like to play with other dogs after slow introduction when Im off my leash (e.g. dog park) because I can be reactive when on leash. I also have a lot of stranger danger and can bark or nip when people Im not comfortable with come near my humans or inside my house. Id love to be in a home with an experienced dog owner who can be patient with my behavioral needs and give me space to run around... even better with dog friends!
