About Petey

Petey is a three-year-old, 60-pound, male, Husky/Shepherd-mix looking for a loving guardian. Petey lost his home at 10 months and has been at the shelter for over two years. I don't know why. He's not a big barker and on walks he ignores bikes, trucks and scooters and LOVES other dogs. And, he seems as though he'd be okay with cats upon proper introduction. I love the way when you walk Petey, he looks back to check in on who is walking him. He knows the command sit, and takes treats gently from your fingers. He's a smart boy. He can be a bit mouthy when being groomed, but he's probably not accustomed to it. This boy needs a loving family, additional training and daily exercise. He gets excited for a car ride, but settles in just fine. He is strong on leash, but fine with the right equipment. He is very healthy, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $300 benefits the rescued pets of the Famous Fido Rescue.
