About Andy

Meet Andy! Andy might be shy at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet and playful personality starts to shine. Though slower to open up than his buddy Lloyd, Andy is very much the boss of the operation - a quiet leader with a gentle spirit. Andy does best in calm, patient environments and would love a home with older kids (around age 8 and up). Quick movements or loud noises from little ones can make him nervous, but with adults and respectful kids, he truly blossoms. He absolutely adores his people and, while he may bark a bit at strangers at first, he responds wonderfully to gentle reassurance and clear commands. Andy gets along great with dogs of all sizes and has shown polite curiosity toward cats and even chickens - so far, he's made only good choices! Mealtime is a highlight of his day, and he loves going for walks - he's doing great with leash training, too. Andy is still working on perfecting his potty routine and sometimes might lift a leg indoors, but with structure and guidance, he'll keep improving. When it comes to playtime, Andy can get pretty enthusiastic, and late-night wrestling matches are very much his style! At bedtime, he'll happily curl up crated separately or snuggle in close to his favorite human. With his speckled coat and loving heart, Andy is ready to bring quiet leadership, cuddles, and plenty of personality to the perfect forever home that loves him just the way he is - quirks, kisses, and all. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good.
