About Oreo

Woof! My name is Oreo, and just like my favorite cookie namesake, I'm a perfect blend of black and white sweetness! I'm a gorgeous Cocker Spaniel who can't wait to find my forever family. At a year and a half old, I'm still very much a puppy at heart, weighing in at 29 pounds of pure joy and energy. My foster family says I have 'good house manners'�'�|I'm so proud! One of my favorite things is running and playing! Oh boy, do I love to run around the yard! I zoom and bounce and play with my foster dog siblings like we're training for the Olympics. I have what the humans call 'young dog energy,' which basically means I'm ready for adventure from sunrise to sunset, with a nap or two in between. Speaking of adventures, I absolutely LOVE car rides! Now to be perfectly clear I'm not a 'windows down, ears flapping in the breeze' type of dude - because if I see a person on a bicycle or motorcycle I go a little bonkers and may jump out. Instead with the windows rolled up I like to take in the scenery of the world around me- that's more my style and wayyyyy safer. Now, I'll be honest with you - I could use an exercise buddy. My foster parents keep mentioning something about 'losing weight,' but between you and me, I think I'm just perfectly fluffy! Still, I'd love a human who enjoys walks, hikes, or backyard games as much as I do. We could be the best fitness team ever! I'm great with all the humans in my house - they're my pack, after all. But when strangers come to the door, I might bark a little at first, but once I realize they're friends, I settle right down. I'm friendly with new people, though I like to take my time getting to know them. Think of me as the thoughtful type who believes good friendships are worth the wait.
