After a carefully considered decision. We are looking for a new home for our dog 'Mel', as we can no longer provide her with the life she deserves, even though we love her very much. Mel is a Dutch Shepherd, currently 6 months old, and she will turn 7 months on August 1st. She is very intelligent, extremely affectionate, and friendly with both people and other dogs. She loves to cuddle and is full of energy. She really enjoys playing, she's a very playful and happy dog. She also tends to bite during play, which is not aggressive but more energetic and enthusiastic. Since the baby was born, her play biting has become a bit stronger and more frequent - not out of violence, but from excitement or frustration. We believe it's related to her not having enough stimulation and clear guidance recently. Mel is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has an EU pet passport. She is still young, learns quickly, and has a lot of potential, but she urgently needs exercise and mental stimulation. Unfortunately, she still pulls strongly on the leash and is reactive to cars, which makes walks difficult. When she doesn't get enough stimulation, she starts destroying things in the house a lot of times even our personal items. Since the birth of our baby a month ago, our situation has changed dramatically. Even during the late stages of pregnancy, we were no longer able to walk her properly, and now with the newborn, we hardly have any time for her. Walks are almost impossible because she is too strong and energetic to be walked with a stroller. Despite all our efforts and love, we simply no longer have the time or energy she needs. We love Mel very much and it breaks our heart to give her up. But we know she deserves a life where she can be active, stimulated, and truly happy.
