Meet Bowie: The Sweetheart With a Soulful Bark and a Heart Full of Love.... Rescue is our favorite breed-because it's not about what they are, it's about who they are. And Bowie? He's one of the good ones. At about 2 years old and 30 lbs, Bowie might be part sheepdog, part water dog and really resembeles a msmall itish wolfhound (if there's such a thing)-but 100% heart. He was sadly abandoned and left at someone's doorstep. Thankfully, that family didn't have the heart to turn him away, even though they're already at their HOA limit and can't keep him permanently. Now we're looking for the happy ending he truly deserves. Bowie is: ��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD Sleeps soundly through the night ��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD Great with other dogs ��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD Playful and full of personality He loves a bedtime treat and gets the zoomies when he's excited-he may even let out a bark or two of joy. He'd thrive in a home with another playful dog or older children who can match his energy. He can play a little rough, so very young kids may not be the best fit. He's still learning not to jump when excited, so a little obedience training would go a long way-but he's eager to please and quick to learn. Also he might need to have some guidance and training with him being house trained as he will attempt to mark and needs correction but this can be corrected with training and a belly band so please have patience with him if you are considering offering him a forever home. We don't know how he is with cats yet, but we do know this: Bowie is ready to love and be loved. And he's patiently waiting for his forever family. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big personality and even bigger heart, Bowie is your boy. My biggest addiction is empathy, and it's very hard for me to turn my back on a dog. I've been trying to curtail rescuing, because I was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago. I actually had surgery September 4th, and was in the hospital for 2 months due to complications and infections. When they came to me for help to find Bowie the home he needs, I just couldn't say no, as I know Im really good at matching appropriately, and it was important to me that he was carefully and properly placed. My goal is to make sure Bowie finds a final forever loving home. If you are in a home, please privacy fences only...no chainlink fences. My goal is to make sure I get Bowie the home that he needs and deserves with someone who will love him and give him all the care and attention and affection that he deserves for the rest of his life and be able to be committed to him physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. The best thing I could possibly do for Bowie is to find him a forever loving home where he will be happy ..'Till death do you part'. . I have made the commitment to Bowie to make sure I find him the opportunity to find the right home he or needs and deserves. My promise to him now is to make sure I find him the best forever home with one who will love him for his long life ahead ....an individual or family who will continue to let us know how wonderfully he is doing. Bowie is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm tested, heartworm negative, on heartworm & flea/tick prevention, microchipped (and microchip remains in my name indefinitely for his safety...more than happy to explain) & if u adopt him, you MUST keep him on both & up to date with yearly check ups & vaccines.
